Untitled design 3

I guess the song is obvious. We are asking people to calm themselves. Yeah yeah! Get off of the division and move towards something different.
“Dont advance your own prestige, when it hurts society”. Too many people are exploiting the division today and profiting off of it and through that effort are furthering it. Sometimes its about their ideology, but often its about dollars and cents.

“Dont Deceive reality, ive had enough hyperbole”. Connected with the first statement. People are exaggerating our differences and the problems that exist. We just need to calm ourselves.

“Bravery we cannot shrink, who will be the first to blink” Often being the first one to blink is a bad thing….but the point here is that we need someone to blink, someone to say, ok, you win this round, lets start figuring out how to compromise on a few things and live together. In this case being Brave and being big, is actually knowing its time to calm not move forward with an agenda that sows more division.
“The time has come to rise not sink, now we step back from the brink” Rising to the occasion, is stepping back back from the brink and learning to defuse the situation.

All in all this song is about calming ourselves, diffusing the situation, figuring out ways we can exist together.

LYRICS

“Can we just calm ourselves, can we just calm ourselves, can we just calm ourselves yeah yeah
Can we just calm ourselves, can we just calm ourselves, can we just calm ourselves yeah yeah

Don’t advance your own prestige when it hurts society, yeah yeah yeah
Don’t deceive reality, I’ve had enough hyperbole, yeah yeah yeah

Can we just calm ourselves, can we just calm ourselves, can we just calm ourselves yeah yeah

Bravery we cannot shrink, who will be the first to blink, yeah yeah, yeah
The time has come to rise not sink, now we step back from the brink, yeah yeah yeah

Can we just calm ourselves, can we just calm ourselves, can we just calm ourselves yeah yeah
Can we just calm ourselves, can we just calm ourselves, can we just calm ourselves yeah yeah

Can we just calm ourselves, can we just calm ourselves, can we just calm ourselves yeah yeah”

In a world that often thrives on division and the pursuit of personal gain at the expense of societal harmony, it’s time for a change. This song is a call to action for everyone to calm themselves and shift away from the relentless drive for prestige that harms our collective well-being. Too many exploit and profit from our divisions, exaggerating differences and amplifying conflicts for their own benefit.

“Don’t advance your own prestige when it hurts society” urges us to prioritize the greater good over individual accolades. “Don’t deceive reality, I’ve had enough hyperbole” speaks to the exhaustion of constant exaggerations and calls for a return to honest, clear-eyed perspectives.

“Bravery we cannot shrink, who will be the first to blink” challenges the notion that conceding is weakness. In this context, true bravery is having the courage to step back, to be the first to seek compromise, and to recognize when it’s time to calm the rhetoric and start building bridges.

“The time has come to rise not sink, now we step back from the brink” encapsulates the essence of this song – rising to the occasion means stepping back from the edge of conflict, defusing tensions, and finding ways to coexist.

This song is a rallying cry for unity, urging us all to calm ourselves, to step away from the brink, and to work together for a more harmonious future.
